Helping Others Help
When someone loses a child, they are thrown into the greatest sorrow they have ever known or could ever imagine. Understandably, those around them don’t know what to say or do to be helpful. This workshop will provide bereaved parents with insights on how to educate those around them to know how to help, and offer useful ideas for connecting with church leaders and fellow believers about their grief. For those who have not experienced child loss, the workshop will help equip them to effectively minister to those who have.
Bereaved Parent Mini-Gathering
Exclusively for bereaved parents and grandparents, this workshop will allow time for sharing our stories with others who have also experienced loss. We will divide into small groups to introduce our children/grandchildren who are in Heaven to those in the group. We’ll learn from each other, discover helpful resources, and experience the comfort that Jesus gives. Inevitably, we gather as strangers but part as new friends.
