Asista a tres talleres dinámicos e interactivos, ofrecidos de forma gratuita el jueves por la tarde, y explore el maravilloso mundo de la educación en el hogar. ¡Los talleres sobre «Cómo empezar la educación en el hogar» son GRATUITOS para todos! Simplemente regístrese con antelación en este enlace para asistir únicamente a estos tres talleres gratuitos. Posteriormente, su credencial de identificación le dará acceso a la inauguración de la Sala de Exposiciones el jueves, de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. —¡nuevamente, SIN COSTO alguno para usted! Los tres talleres están disponibles en inglés o español.
*Nota: En esta oferta gratuita no se incluyen las sesiones sobre educación secundaria (High School) ni ningún otro taller programado para el jueves.
- Educación en el hogar: Cómo iniciar con confianza y finalizar con éxito
En este taller abordaremos las inquietudes más comunes que enfrentan los padres al considerar la educación en casa: qué es, cómo se diferencia del modelo tradicional, cómo comenzar, crear una rutina efectiva y evaluar el progreso para finalizar con éxito. Obtendrá herramientas prácticas para transformar su hogar en un espacio de aprendizaje positivo y efectivo.
- Educación en el hogar: Guía para elegir, estructurar el currículo desde Kínder hasta la Secundaria
Una de las principales inquietudes de los padres hispanos es cómo seleccionar un currículo adecuado para sus hijos. En este taller analizaremos las materias habilidades clave que deben desarrollarse durante el año escolar. También abordaremos cómo adaptar el currículo si el inglés es su segundo idioma o si desea brindar una educación bilingüe. Aprenderá a planificar el contenido educativo, establecer metas claras según las necesidades de su familia, y fomentar los valores y destrezas que prepararán a sus hijos para un futuro exitoso.

Come to three dynamic, interactive free workshops offered on Thursday afternoon and explore the wonderful world of home education. The How-to-Begin-Homeschooling workshops are FREE for everyone! Just preregister at this link to come to the three free workshops only. Afterward, your name badge will give you access to the Exhibit Hall premiere on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. – again, at NO COST to you! All three workshops are available in English or Spanish

In this workshop, we’ll address the most common concerns parents face when considering homeschooling: what it is, how it differs from traditional education, how to get started, how to build an effective routine, and how to evaluate progress to finish strong. You’ll gain practical tools to transform your home into a positive and effective learning environment.
- Homeschooling: A Guide to Choosing and Structuring Curriculum from Kindergarten through High School
One of the main concerns for Hispanic parents is how to select an appropriate curriculum for their children. In this workshop, we will analyze the key subjects and skills that should be developed throughout the school year. We will also address how to adapt the curriculum if English is your second language or if you would like to provide a bilingual education. You will learn how to plan educational content, set clear goals based on your family’s needs, and foster the values and skills that will prepare your children for a successful future.
