HEAV’s Convention News 2025
Welcome to our new HEAV Convention Director, Catrina Jackson!
“It doesn’t matter who gets the credit, as long as God gets the glory!”
What a great spirit to bring to the called task of taking on one of the largest homeschool conventions in the country. Catrina Jackson is a wife, mother, mentor–and now, the new HEAV convention director. Her background in leadership, merchandising, and management across various industries offer a plethora of skills that will lay the foundation for her newest role.
After earning a B.A. in mass communication from Louisiana State University, an M.A. from Liberty University, and a 16-year run with Barnes & Noble College Division, she shifted gears into supporting her husband’s tile business and took on the joyous responsibility of homeschooling their three children.
Catrina believes the calling to convention director is the perfect culmination of her experience and has deemed this her “dream job.” She is passionate about fighting the uphill battle of defending homeschool freedoms and assisting families to understand the adventurous beauty that comes with the homeschooling journey.
“It doesn’t matter who gets the credit, as long as God gets the glory”, Catrina Jackson.
In addition to leading the HEAV convention into the next wave, Catrina currently serves as the director of the Aiming High homeschool co-op in Williamsburg. She is ecstatic to expand her knowledge and experience by serving in the HEAV family. Near and dear to her heart is the love of God, family, and neighbors.
Catrina has some great ideas and has already hit the ground running, gearing up for the 42nd Annual Virginia Homeschool Convention taking place June 5–7, 2025, at the Greater RIchmond Convention Center. This year is going to be great!
Welcome, Catrina!
