Virtual School Ads

Many homeschool parents have expressed concern regarding the receipt of letters, emails, or phone calls from their districts promoting virtual public school options. It is helpful to understand that school districts receive full funding (average $14,386) for each student who attends their virtual program.
Following the COVID shutdown, many parents chose to continue homeschooling, and districts have lost funding as a result. School divisions market these programs specifically to homeschool parents to persuade them to return to the government system. Parents are not required to address these communications.
