After years as a homeschool skeptic, Nancy began homeschooling her four children in 1992—and never looked back. More than thirty years later, she is known to many as the “Homeschool Mom Whisperer” and a passionate champion for home education.
Nancy has spoken at homeschool conferences in more than ten states, where she is recognized for her enthusiasm, energy, and steady encouragement. Her greatest joy is empowering parents to step confidently into the homeschooling journey and discover what’s possible for their families.
In addition to mentoring and speaking, Nancy and her husband owned Heppner’s Legacy, a homeschool store in Elk River, Minnesota, for eighteen years. They are now enjoying a new season of life as they pass it to new owners. When she’s not working with parents, Nancy treasures time with her growing family—especially her nine grandchildren.
