Casey Cashell is a storyteller at heart, a content creator, homemaker, and encourager to families who long to build meaningful lives rooted in faith, hospitality, and legacy. Alongside her husband, Jason, Casey stewards Mayhurst Estate, a historic Victorian Italianate manor built by James Madison’s family, where they have woven together home, business, ministry, and homeschooling into a living heritage retreat experience.
As a homeschooling mother of four, entrepreneur, and educator, Casey is passionate about helping families rediscover the beauty and purpose of home-centered living.
She is the founder of the Instagram Storytellers Academy, where she equips entrepreneurs, creatives, and ministry leaders to use their God-given stories and social media platforms for lasting impact rather than fleeting influence Casey and her family are also the creators of several heritage-based educational communities, including the Teapot Society and the Artisan Kids Hub, which inspire families around the world to revive traditional skills, hospitality, and generational mentorship.
With four children, a growing homestead, and a historic estate filled with guests, Casey understands firsthand the joy and overwhelm that can accompany building a countercultural family life. Through storytelling, biblical encouragement, and practical wisdom, she helps parents let go of unrealistic expectations and rediscover hope, peace, and purpose in the daily work of raising the next generation. One of Casey’s greatest joys is creating spaces—both online and at Mayhurst Estate—where kindred spirits can gather, be refreshed, and leave strengthened to build homes that shape families, communities, and futures for the glory of God.
