The Mystery of Science: Dissection

Participate in a hands-on sheep pluck dissection (heart, lungs, and trachea) to explore how lungs inflate, and oxygen moves through the body—an amazing example of how God designed our body systems to work together. You’ll keep track of your experiments in a lab journal (parents—yes, this counts for science!). Come curious. Leave amazed. Science is explored hands-on, thoughtfully taught, and grounded in wonder—with a clear emphasis on the Creator behind it all.

Pics or It Didn’t Happen: The Power of a Science Lab Journal

Lab journals play a powerful role in both the academic and spiritual growth of students. As homeschool parents, we can foster curiosity, reflection, and intentionality in young learners. A lab journal not only records experiments but also cultivates gratitude, stewardship, and a deeper understanding of God’s design. By engaging with their observations and reflections, students can recognize the Creator’s purposeful order in nature and see that all scientific discovery points to His glory.

Science in the Kitchen, Science in the Bathroom, Science in the Car

Baking cookies creates a mixture, making ice cubes changes the state of matter, and feeding the dog is an opportunity for a biology lesson. Science—and the opportunities to teach it—are everywhere around us. Learn practical tips for keeping your eyes open to the many ways God has designed our lives—and the science to back it up, whether you’re in the kitchen, bathroom, yard, or car. Join Karri, veteran homeschooling mom and the author of the Mystery of Science series, to learn tips and tricks for putting it all together.

20 Remarkable Creatures That Showcase God’s Design

God’s power and majesty are evident in all of creation, from the tiniest bacteria to the massive blue whale. Did you know the mantis shrimp’s punch can break glass? Or that the robin’s song is distinct from the sparrow’s? A whale not only communicates with sound waves, but those waves can travel for thousands of miles! These amazing animals didn’t happen by chance; they were created by God. Discover how learning about the world around us points to God’s character and power, drawing us into authentic worship, even in our homeschooling! Join Karri, veteran homeschooling mom and The Mystery of Science author, for an exciting exploration of unique wonders—each pointing to our Creator.
