Dr. Dana Sneed earned her Master of Divinity in Christian education and PhD in education from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. She joined Answers in Genesis in 2018, where she now serves as an educational specialist. She has been involved in designing and writing educational curricula, most notably the Answers Bible Curriculum for Homeschool. She is also a speaker and instructor for various educational programs at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. Her undergraduate studies in criminal
justice come into play as co-instructor for the Forensic Science High School labs and explore days. She also teaches daily programs focused on biblical authority and speaks on educational topics such as biblical studies and critical thinking at AiG homeschool and professional development events.
Teaching Critical Thinking
How do we raise discerning students who think for themselves and make wise decisions? We must teach them to think critically. We will discuss the biblical basis for critical thinking, as well as practical strategies to excite, equip, and enable our students to be critical thinkers.
Beyond Bible Class
While it is important to set aside time to study the Bible, we must not compartmentalize biblical instruction. The Bible is our only perfect source of truth and knowledge, and it explains the reality we live in. To build a truly biblical worldview, the Bible must be foundational to every academic subject. We will explore the importance of cross-curricular biblical instruction and discuss practical examples for teaching every subject from a truly biblical foundation.
