For many years, HEAV has partnered with the State Fair of Virginia to sponsor a homeschool day.
Thanks to HEAV’s partnership, you and your family can join hundreds of fellow homeschool families for homeschool day at the Virginia state fair! The fair is held at Meadow Event Park off 1-95 Exit 98, next to Kings Dominion.
IMPORTANT: You must order online in order to get the special price.
There is no opportunity to purchase discount tickets at the gate.

HEAV Homeschool Day will be at the State Fair of Virginia on Friday, September 27. Get your discounted tickets as soon as the link is available! If you can’t come on the 27th, that’s okay—you may use the tickets any other weekday, so long as you enter BEFORE 2 p.m.. (The discounted tickets do not allow admission on evenings and weekends.)
State Fair runs from September 27 to October 6, 2024.
Also, did you know your homeschooler is eligible to enter the State Fair competitions? Arts & Craft Competition Guidelines will be available.

Purchase your fair tickets online and receive them directly via e-mail as a PDF attachment. Tickets may be printed or shown at the gate on a mobile device. Your Homeschool Day tickets are generally good on any weekday through the end of the fair.

Did you know? Students ages 5 through 18 may enter works of art into the Arts & Crafts Competition. Entries may include painting and drawing, knitting and crochet, paper art, sewing, Lego creations, yard art, jewelry, wood-working, duct tape…and SO many other categories, there are too many to count here. Check out the division and class section of the arts & crafts guide for a complete list, deadlines, and details.
