WORKSHOPS:

Digital Addiction: What the Neuroscience Shows
**This workshop is not suitable for children**
Neuroscience has revealed that brain scans of hard-core video gamers are nearly identical to those of cocaine addicts. Brain scans of porn addicts show more damage than heroin addicts. Thirty-five percent of victims of cyberbullying scored above the threshold for symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and 29 percent of the teenagers who did cyberbullying also showed signs of PTSD. Research shows that more 35-year-olds play video games than teenagers. Mothers are often more addicted to social media than their daughters. This session explores these issues and more.

Artificial Intelligence in Education: Blessing or Curse?
Education systems worldwide are racing to see where AI fits into their curriculum. Many embrace these new tools at breakneck speed, while others resist. This session explores current AI issues that educators face in this brave new world, and offers guidance for the homeschooling parent.
