One of the many blessings of homeschool is the freedom to pick your child’s learning path—and to walk it with them! The sheer joy of learning together is is heightened with the experience of sharing it with other homeschoolers. Your convention family registration includes keynotes and workshops, Exhibit Hall and UCS shopping, An Evening of Real Refreshment (for moms), Math Night for dads and kids, an expanded Special-Needs Conference, and more! PLUS, optional add-ons can be selected to round out your family’s convention experience..

Experience the Convention


Choose one of three tracks for beginners, high schoolers, or parents of special needs—or invest in some couple time in Vertical Marriage while the kids attend special, optional add-on sessions just for them.


The day kicks off with the morning keynote at 8:30 a.m. After the evening keynote ends at 6 p.m., do some more shopping in the Exhibit Hall or enjoy a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant, and then come out for Friday Family Night!


Enjoy a full day of workshops with frequent breaks to shop in the Exhibit Hall. Filled with the very best in educational materials from around the country, this is the perfect place to peruse books, touch the materialsand often, talk with the actual writer!

Bringing the Family?

A hands-on, interactive event for teens ages 12 and up engages them in a mock presidential campaign involving all adult convention attendees while they learn how a real election works.

The convention also offers a number of optional add-ons for all ages, including writing, art, science music, chess, choir, photography, and so much more. Check the convention schedule for ages and times.

After dinner as a family, Mom can enjoy “An Evening of Real Refreshment” with Rachael Carman, while the rest of the family hashes it out at a fun math experience at Mathnasium Math Night!

In this year’s “Fruit of the Spirit” theme, children (ages 5 to 10) will participate in praise and worship, create crafts, and have the chance to let out their energy by playing several active games. Learn more here.

TWO Photography Programs

Under the guidance and instruction of an experienced event photographer, the HEAV Convention Photography Programs will give photography enthusiasts the opportunity to learn all about photography and, for more advanced students, practice hands-on, the skills needed to cover a big event. Choose from “Beginner” or “Beyond Beginner” progams!
