It’s an Education, Not a Rat Race
What does a great high school education look like? If you’re worried that it means giving up teaching in a way that fits your family, worry no more. You’ll learn which requirements are important; how to decide what each student should study; and how to tailor the high school experience to fit the student’s interests, aptitudes, and future plans. You’ll leave with the confidence that you and your teen can homeschool through high school with joy.

7 Steps to a Simple High School Transcript
Transcripts are not just for college-bound students—every student needs one. The high school transcript is designed to highlight your student’s talents, strengths, and skills in the same way a résumé does for a prospective employee. It should present an accurate overview of the high school experience. You’ll learn a step-by-step process for creating a simple, effective transcript, including how to assign grades, calculate a grade point average, name classes, and grant credit. You’ll be sure to leave with a “can-do” feeling.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Wait? Earn College Credit in High School
What if you could earn a college degree when most teens are graduating from high school, save thousands of dollars, and get a head start on life? What if you could do a lot of it from home, at your own pace, using curriculum and resources of your choice? For America’s founding fathers and other educated people from the past, it was ordinary for teens (and sometimes even pre-teens) to begin college-level work as soon as they were ready. Join us to learn where to start
Bringing the Family?
Teens can purchase optional add-ons such as soldering, 3D Printing, and hands-on science—or take the free ASVAB career exploration assessment (free). Check the schedule for ages and times.
On Friday, after dinner as a family, while Mom attends “An Evening of Real Refreshment” with Rachael Carman, teens and the rest of the family will have a blast at “Game Night for Dad and Kids!”
