Do you like video games? Social media? Smart phones? All of the amazing technology you use every day was created by ordinary people who learned a super useful skill: coding. And here’s the best part: You can learn it, too!  If you have ever been curious about how to program but don’t know where to begin, this is the class for you!

All you need is a computer with a keyboard.  Almost any desktop or laptop computer will do — you can use a Windows, Mac, Chromebook, or Linux machine (no tablets or smartphones please).

Jeremy Moritz, author of Code for Teens: The Awesome Beginner’s Guide to Programming is an energetic, patient teacher who knows how to teach coding in an entertaining, easy-to-follow format.  Mr. Moritz will walk you through a hands-on class that will have you writing real programming code in every session.  This class will teach everything you need to know to get started learning the world’s most commonly used programming language: JavaScript!

Buckle up for this awesome hands-on beginner JavaScript virtual class, and enjoy a fun, comfortable introduction into the world of coding!
Geared for kids ages 11 and up. They should be able to type reasonably well.
