The “Maker Movement” has washed ashore at The Mariners’ Museum! Join classes filled with hands-on activities solving real maritime problems. Discover what it takes to build a hurricane-proof house (and test your ideas), save your town from an impending tsunami, design a boat for life at sea, build and test drive an underwater robot, and much more!
Classes offered are:
- “Introduction to Underwater Robotics” (Grades 6 – 12)
- “Hurricanes: Predicting Disaster” (Grades 6 – 12)
- “Tsunamis: Might Harbor Waves” (Grades 3 – 5)
- “Build a Better Ship” (Grades 3 – 5)
- “Monsters and Mermaids” (Grades K – 2)
- “Extreme Deep” (Grades K – 2)
More information: Prices include crafts, activities, classes, and Museum admission. Children ages three and under get free admission and may participate in activities with their older siblings for no additional fee.
