Join the Nauticus & Battleship Wisconsin for Nauticus Homeschool Day! Enjoy the aquariums, weather exhibits, touch tanks, and Navy exhibits–and watch a movie in the large screen theater Educational programming– Don’t forget to tour the USS Wisconsin–the largest and last battleship built by the US Navy–while you are there!

Nauticus Maritime Center is hosting our annual Homeschool Day on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10am until 5pm. Tickets may be purchased online or upon arrival. Join us for a fun-filled day. Take part in exciting STEAM activities in the museum, on board the Battleship Wisconsin and see our NEW exhibit Planet or Plastic. Nauticus.org

3D Educationals at the Nauticus Theater include two movies.  The Hidden Pacific will bring to viewers never-before-seen footage of these remarkable places, sharing the splendor of such pristine environments and their important role in safeguarding our planet.  Another 3D is Aircraft Carrier: Guardians of the Sea, which immerses audiences into the exciting realm of air and sea operations aboard a modern Nimitz-class nuclear-powered carrier. Track the experiences of a young F-18 Super Hornet pilot and others engaged in a massive international event.

Other Information:

  • FOOD: The BB-64 on-site Café offers sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs, salads and typical lunchtime fare.  There are also many restaurants located nearby.
  • PARKING: Nauticus does not provide on-site parking.  Hourly garage parking is available at several nearby City of Norfolk parking garages. Visit the City of Norfolk’s Parking website .
    Free parking for vans is available at Harbor Park, approximately 8 blocks from our building.

Nauticus is located on the downtown Norfolk waterfront, just 20 minutes west of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront via 264 West to Waterside Drive and just 40 minutes East of Colonial Williamsburg via 64 East to 264 West to Nauticus at 1 Waterside Drive. You can unload/load in front.
