Free Cognitive Tests

Free Cognitive Test for HEAV Families!

Thanks to a grant from the Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research, LearningRx Charlottesville is able to provide FREE cognitive skills assessments to a limited number of Virginia students. (The test normally costs $97.)

Home Educators Association of Virginia has been selected to be one of the beneficiaries!

The digital Gibson Test of Cognitive Skills takes only 45 minutes to complete and can be taken from a laptop or tablet. It evaluates your child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

These are essentially the skills that make up your child’s IQ; ability to pay attention; and capacity to learn, think, read and perform in school, on the sports field, AND in life.

The DEADLINE to sign up is Friday, October 30.

IMPORTANT TIPS FOR SUCCESS

  1. Don’t call it a “test.” Just let your child know that he will be playing some memory games and puzzles and to do his best.
  2. Have her take the test at a time and place where she will not be interrupted or distracted.
The test is normed, validated, and supported in peer-reviewed literature, and has been administered by educators, psychologists, neurologists, audiologists, speech and language professionals, as well as brain training professionals around the world.
