Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost: There is no cost to participate, but team or individual registration is required prior to competing.
Students in grades five through eight are invited to participate in a Junior Solar Sprint competition, which provides a hands-on opportunity for students to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts. Students will exercise their creativity and problem-solving skills as they design, construct, and race solar-powered cars. Participants use their imagination and ingenuity to construct vehicles powered by a standardized solar cell and motor and compete against their peers. Awards will be given for design in addition to the track event itself.

Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pre-registration deadline is October 31. Cost: $32/person, pre-registration; $40/person, at the door. Cost includes all general and break-out sessions, lunch, snacks, and coffee.
The Summit was birthed out of NCHE’s desire to support and encourage those educating exceptional children at home. Come and be refreshed, equipped, and encouraged by popular speakers Kathy Kuhl–also a familiar favorite at the HEAV Convention–and Heather and Chris Laurie of Special Needs Homeschooling. Fellowship with other parents homeschooling children with learning differences and other special needs.
