Peak Experiences Indoor Rock Climbing Gym

Friday, August 24, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: $10/person. Registration deadline is August 17.

This open house event will give you the opportunity to try indoor rock climbing at a reduced rate to determine if it’s right for you. Indoor rock climbing builds fitness, confidence, and thinking skills, and offers family time, too! There is no obligation to join the class by participating in this open house event. Modest shorts, T-shirt, and sneakers are recommended.

2. Homeschool Family Rock Climbing Class – Midlothian – Registration Deadline Is August 31

Peak Experiences Indoor Rock Climbing Gym
Midlothian, Virginia

Fridays, September 7, 2018 through December 21, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cost: $150/month for one parent and two children (ages five and older); $25/each additional participant; and $25/extra for climbers under age eight. A membership option for a parent and one child is also available. Monthly fee includes full gym membership with two hours of personalized class instruction per week, the right to climb outside of class time, complimentary gear during class hours, and a 10% discount at the gear shop. Registration deadline is August 31.

Join other homeschool families and learn the fun and challenging sport of indoor rock climbing. Rock climbing builds fitness, confidence, problem-solving skills, and strong families. This is a family class for both parents and children. Parents are expected to participate.

3. Fire Safety Education – Chesterfield County

The Chesterfield Fire & EMS Fire and Life Safety Educators are available to to provide fire safety education to homeschool groups in Chesterfield County. Coordinators interesting in scheduling a lesson can contact Kimberly Rideout at 804-748-1993.

4. Chesterfield Library Children’s Activities – Chesterfield County – Ongoing

Chesterfield Library is offering a variety of events, activities, and classes for students ages five and older. Registration is required and will remain open until all available slots are filled, although most classes fill quickly. Activities include author visits, storytime, preschool science lab, chess club, LEGO club, teen art club, family game night, book discussion groups, and more.
