1. Capital Baptist Homeschool Support Group Used Curriculum Sale – Falls Church – Consignor Registration Deadline Is May 7

Friday, May 11, from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Cost: The sale is free to attend and shop; CBHSG will collect 30% of the total receipts from each consignor, plus a $5 participation fee. Consignor registration deadline is May 7.

Capital Baptist Homeschool Support Group will host a used curriculum consignment sale at Capital Baptist Church. Consigned items must be either donated or picked up after the sale. Item drop-off is Thursday, May 10, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and items must be picked up on Saturday, May 12, between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

3. Think Well Worldview and Apologetics Conference – Charlottesville – Register by June 30

Charlottesville, Virginia

Monday, June 25 through Friday, June 29, 2018, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration deadline is June 15, 2018. Cost: $120/student. Open to teens and young adults ages 14 to 22. Cost includes full conference schedule, conference notebook and materials, T-shirt, snacks, catered lunch on Monday, and closing event cookout on Friday. Lunches are not provided Tuesday through Friday and should be brought from home.

In addition, there will be a kick-off event the evening of Sunday, June 24, starting at 6:30 p.m.; an evening event on Tuesday, June 26; and a closing event on Friday, June 29, for all students and their families.

CrossLife Community Church is hosting a one-week Worldview and Apologetics Conference for young adults, during which leaders will cover topics related to biblical worldview, apologetics, biblical stewardship, personal discipleship, evangelism, and mission. Keynote speaker, John Stonestreet, president of Colson Center for Christian Worldview and co-host of BreakPoint Radio, will lead the kick-off event and a full day of sessions on Monday. Other speakers include Trillia Newbell, director of community outreach for the Southern Baptist Convention; Virginia Cobb, president of The Family Foundation; Aaron Jeffrey, a scholar-in-residence with Mars Hill Audio; and Todd Cothran, former curriculum and research director at Summit Ministries and current pastor of CrossLife Community Church. In addition, Bill Bray, Bill Basener, Charles Dumaresq, and Steve Forister, scholars and pastors from the Charlottesville area, will share their expertise in fields of science, archeology, and evangelism.
