2. “The African American Mosaic” Traveling Exhibit at The Menokin Foundation – Warsaw – March 3-23

The Menokin Foundation
Warsaw, Virginia

Visitor Center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Self-guided tours are available during regular hours; there is no fee, but a donation of $5/person is suggested.

A traveling exhibit from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts–”The African American Mosaic”–will be on display in the visitor’s center from March 3-23. The exhibit includes lessons which look at how the integration of art history, design history, and social history reveal the history of a culture or a community.

Menokin was the home of Francis Lightfoot Lee, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence. In 1971 it was designated a National Historic Landmark for this significance.
