Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet admissions representatives from over 25 accredited Christian colleges and universities, as well as attend a 30-minute financial aid workshop. Students can register for a contact information bar code scan to save time at the fair.

This family-friendly event will include gun, cannon, and mounted dragoon military exercises, and a hearth cooking demonstration. Students can chat with the Patriots about camp life and watch artillery drills and battles.

Virginia Museum of the Civil War

Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Cost: $10/adult; $5/student (ages 6 to 17); children 5 and younger are free. This is a family-friendly event appropriate for children of all ages.
This special nighttime lantern tour of the New Market battlefield and Bushong Farm portrays the aftermath of the Battle of New Market. Costumed interpreters reenact soldiers resting and telling stories, captured troops under guard, and wounded soldiers being cared for at the farmhouse. Virginia Military Institute cadets recount their historic involvement in the day’s battle.

Bring a picnic lunch and take a guided tour of the home of our nation’s fifth president, along with additional activities specially geared toward home educating families. Studio Zero Photography will be onsite taking photographic silhouettes throughout the day. Sittings are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and pricing for silhouettes ranges from $30 to $55.
