Fall is an exciting time to study nature. As homeschoolers, we have the enviable opportunity to make our studies experiential. The resources in the Homeschool Classroom will give you ideas to teach science, art, lifeskills and more–and get you and your students studying and celebrating the season of autumn.


1.1 Fall for the Family

A great way to celebrate God’s beautiful creation is to get outside. You can locate a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, or a fall festival taking place in the state with this reference from the Virginia Is for Lovers website. Please note some of the festivals listed may reference Halloween or haunted mazes.

This downloadable activity calendar may give you some ideas on how your family can make the most of the fall weather. You may find some to be fairly conventional, while others may be new to you.

1.2 Autumn Activities
