Marketing Director

HEAV is seeking a marketing director to develop and implement cross-channel marketing strategies to strengthen our market presence with a goal to increased event attendance, membership sales, and increased brand awareness.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies
  • Degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • Possess strong written and communication skills
  • Possess strong project implementation skills
  • Solid computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office suite tools, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Trello
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Pixel, and other web-based marketing tools
  • Experience in data analysis with a goal-oriented attitude
  • Really LOVES our mission and can articulate it in a way the public can hear
  • Ability to develop and manage a team
  • High degree of organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the Virginia homeschooling market

Hours:

  Average 15 to 20 hours per week.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute, in collaboration with publications and events team, an overall marketing strategy with a goal towards membership growth and increased event attendance
  • Develop strong marketing strategies for campaigns to specific audiences, including support group leaders, influencers, vendors, and others
  • Generate new leads, identify target markets, and develop strategies for communication
  • Gather and analyze marketing data (campaign results, website traffic, click-through and open rates, etc.) to shape future marketing strategies
  • Keep organized records of metrics and report on results of all campaigns
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date contact lists for media outlets, including churches, online calendars, newspapers, magazines, and radio stations
  • Contact radio and TV stations to initiate and coordinate interviews
  • Oversee the writing of press releases and public-service announcements and ensure that they are submitted to appropriate media outlets
  • Connect with speakers and vendor marketing personnel to promote events
  • Update standard media packet for distribution to media outlet
  • Attend weekly Zoom team marketing meetings
