Need to Cancel Your Hotel Reservation?
Please call the HEAV office with your cancellation request, and we’ll take care of it for you! Please do NOT call the hotel directly. In order for us to maintain our room block and open up the room for another family coming to the convention, all cancellations must be made through the HEAV office at 804-278-9200 or office@heav.org.
We have filled all the affordable downtown hotels, so “recycling” room reservations will allow other families to get a room closer to the convention center.

Volunteers: Always Needed, Always Welcome
Without volunteers, HEAV could not serve the thousands of home educators who come every year. Thank you for prayerfully considering joining the team today. As a token of our appreciation, if you volunteer at least two hours, you get to shop early in the Used Curriculum Sale on Friday morning–before the general public. Better yet, you have an opportunity to serve your fellow homeschoolers. Click here to volunteer.
Volunteer in the Children’s Program Today
School’s almost out, and HEAV has a fantastic opportunity for teens with a heart to serve and ambition to succeed.
The Children’s Program, a ministry to the parents who attend the convention, is a huge blessing to families with young children. It also creates a great opportunity for teens ages 13 and up who are looking to
earn:
- Service-Hour Requirements
- Boy Scout or Girl Scout Merit Badges
- Rank Advancement
- Childcare Experience
- Citizenship Recognition
On top of that, you’ll have a lot of fun working with fellow teens and young adults. Volunteer one day, or both…share a craft…lead a game. Your talents can be blessing to many children, and the time you spend with them is something they truly will not forget. All Children’s Program volunteers will receive a t-shirt, lunches on both days, and a Volunteer Service-Hour Certificate.
Find out more information on our website, or e-mail childrensprogram@heav.org.
