ARTICLES & INFORMATION
Article of the Week
Blessings of Obedience – Tedd Tripp
Pastor Tripp remembers his first memory verse: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with promise: ‘that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth’” (Ephesians 6:1-3). He considers it a crucial principle for parents and children to learn because of two promises. First, things will go well spiritually; second, that things in life will go well practically. Read more about these simple, but critical points in the article.
Homeschool Q&A
Testing if Behind in One Subject
Q- My two elementary age children did not do well in math, so I put them back one grade level in math when we began homeschooling in September. They are doing well in other subjects. Do I have to test them for grade appropriate math?

4) Parting Thought – Writing Tips
The importance of comprehensive cross-referencing will be covered elsewhere.
In the absence of a dictionary, stick to words of one syllabus.
The adverb always follows the verb.
Sure signs of lazy writing are incomplete lists, etc.
- As seen on the Internet (just thought we’d help).

5) Worth Repeating
“You don’t have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.”
- Ray Bradbury (1920-present), American science fiction writer. He is perhaps best known for his book, Fahrenheit 451.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
