ARTICLES & INFORMATION

Article of the Week

Homeschooling Through Difficult Times – Harriet Yoder

When life’s daily circumstances become more difficult–illness, a financial crisis, or other struggles–homeschooling families sometimes think of dropping the endeavor in an attempt to ease the burden. The author encourages trust in God, applying the Scriptures, and carefully evaluating the true cost of alternatives.

4) Parting Thought – St. Patrick’s Day: Did You Know That…

…40 pounds of green dye are used to dye the Chicago River for St. Patrick’s Day?

…Americans send about eight million St. Patrick’s Day cards annually?

…more than 650,000 Americans have been named “Patrick” in the last 100 years?

…Patrick was not Irish at all, but British? He was taken captive and made a slave in Ireland. From there he escaped only to go back to share the Gospel! There are plenty of legendary aspects to his story, but he was a real man whose phases in life were certainly not what he had envisioned for himself. God allowed–and used–a radically different path, all for His own glory and the salvation of many.

Rest assured you too will take detours from the path you had planned. Trust that it fits into God’s plan.
