Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10, 2012, from 9 a.m. to noon (2 p.m. showcase on Friday). Cost: $70/first participant; $60/each additional family member, plus $20 registration fee/student; ages 8 -18 (including 2012 homeschool graduates). Registration deadline is July 31, but register by July 23 to get a free T-shirt.
Whether you are already part of a choral ensemble and want to hone your skills, are considering joining an ensemble, or don’t have time to take chorus during the school year, consider this chorus camp for homeschoolers.
Daily classes include full ensemble choir; sectionals; separate ensembles based on age and ability; theory/ear training/solfege; vocal technique including posture, breathing, placement, diction and expression; a capella, classical, and gospel/jazz styles; pop, folk, patriotic, contemporary Christian and classic choral literature will be used; guest performers and instructors.
