Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (information meeting). Fall classes will be on Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning on September 11 and ending in May or June 2013, depending on year-end performance schedules. Cost: $400 tuition (ages 5 through 12). Half of the tuition is due in September 2012, with the other half due in February 2013). The informational session is free. No childcare is available. RSVP for the information meeting by the morning of August 22.
The Academy of Music will hold a parent/student information session for their 2012-2013 beginning strings class for homeschool students ages 5-12. This free session will cover class objectives, instrument procurement, and class schedule.

U-Turn Sports Performance Academy
2101 Maywill Street
Fridays, September 7, 14, 21, 28, and October 5, 12, 19, 26, 2012, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $80/student or $10/session; $75/each additional sibling. Childcare is not available for non-participating children. Students will need to dress in athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. There will be a 15-minute Bible study at the end of each session. Families can buy healthy snacks at the U-Turn Café if they wish. Parents can exercise in the Adult Fitness Center and access wireless internet–both free of any additional charge.
Students ages 11 and up will play volleyball, football, soccer, tennis, and basketball.
Students ages 6 and 7, and ages 8 through 10 will play football, soccer, tennis, and basketball in their respective age groups. Students ages 3 through 5 will participate in musical movement activities and be introduced to football, soccer, tennis, bowling, and basketball.
