Classical Conversations Hampton Roads-Peninsula is hosting a Lego Engineering Camp taught by a real engineer.
JUNIOR ENGINEERING (grades one through three)
These classes feature great hands-on learning and building. Students will creatively build and modify machines through basic engineering skills using unique LEGO® kits. Skills taught include basic engineering principles; friction, forces, and aerodynamics;
forces in motion; problem solving; and communication skills.
ELEMENTARY ENGINEERING (grades four through eight)
Students will use unique LEGO® kits to build a variety of machines applying basic engineering principles, integrating science and math. Students will learn about gearing and gear ratios; electric motors and energy; friction, forces, motion and aerodynamics; problem solving; and communication skills.
