Convention Registration is Open to All

Haven’t registered for the convention yet? Today is the day! Registration is open to both members and non-members–and the system is working smoothly (mostly)! One low price for the whole family gives you access to all 140 workshops, the Exhibit Hall, the Used Curriculum Sale–plus you can choose to add on special events like the Dissection Lab, Writing Clinic, Generation Joshua’s Teen Programs, or the Children’s Program.




Remember to Volunteer
We need your help at the convention! Amazingly, the convention relies on more than 600 volunteers to run smoothly! Volunteering has never been easier–simply fill out our volunteer application, and someone will contact you with more information. Don’t forget, volunteers shop first in the UCS!

In Memoriam

We are just learning of the passing of Dr. Ruth Beechick, the “Grandmother of Homeschooling.” Ruth was born in 1925 and went to glory on November 27, 2013. The Trivium Pursuit has a memorial page if you wish to leave a note. Look for her books at Convention to see what an influence she had on homeschooling of all kinds.

Enjoy a fabulous selection of engaging classroom programs that highlight important natural science and earth science concepts. Elementary students (kindergarten-grade 4) study natural science programs and older kids (grades 5-12) will enjoy environmental science labs. Space science programs in the planetarium are available for grades K-9.

Pamplin Historical Park

Friday, February 7 and February 14, 2014 – Petersburg

Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier offers a special field-trip program for homeschool families and groups! Park educators deliver informative programs using fun, participatory learning techniques to teach historical lessons. These programs are specifically designed for children at grade levels 3-12. The tour includes time to visit the “Duty Called Me Here” exhibit and take a lunch break–just bring a bag lunch.
