Box Tops for EducationBox Tops for Education -
Each Label Makes a BIG Difference!

Did you realize that Box Top labels, found on the back of many cereal boxes, soup cans, and other everyday items, can help support homeschooling? You can turn those labels into cash for both your local support group and HEAV! Even though each label is only worth 10 cents, 10 cents adds up quickly!
  • If each person who receives this e-mail sends in just five labels, we could raise about $4,500!
  • If each person sends in just ten labels, we could raise about $9,000!
That's a LOT of money that could go to help support homeschooling in Virginia--all from empty boxes and cans!

September 30 Deadline Is Approaching
Box Top labels can only be submitted twice a year--once in the fall and once in the spring. Now's the time to start clipping and getting your labels ready to submit!

Fun Online Resources
Check our website for some fun collection sheets you can use to help keep track of your Box Top labels throughout the year...as well as some special offers for Sam's Club and Food Lion customers!

View details and start turning those empty boxes and cans into cash today!
Remember, EVERY label counts!

Have You Found a Support Group Yet?
If you haven't found a local support group yet, take a look at our Virginia support group listings. No matter how fresh and enthusiastic you feel right now, there may be days when you need someone to come alongside you and remind you of why you're homeschooling--and there are others who need you to remind them of the same thing!

When looking for a support group, consider more than just the activities or services the group offers. Is it a group with like-minded parents who will encourage you and help you see difficulties as opportunities to grow? The right group can be a tremendous blessing and can also offer an opportunity to serve other families.

If you have a support group you enjoy or are a support group leader, please check to make sure your support group is listed on our website. If it is not, simply fill out our online form
so we can add your group to the listings!

Congratulations - Richmond Patriots Go to Homeschool World Series
After eight years of hard work, the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's Richmond Patriot baseball team made it to the Homeschool World Series! Coach Gregg Tobey and his team were featured on the front page of the Richmond Times-Dispatch sports section on May 20. The team also sent players on to college teams for the first time.

(Thanks to Rebecca Perry for sending this to us--two of her boys were on the team. Great work, Team!)

5) Worth Repeating
