Threat of Ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child Grows
The
threat of ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child is
growing. For the first time, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations
Susan Rice publicly made reference to the new administration's
discussion of when and how it would be possible to ratify.
Action: Please call the White House and your U.S. senator immediately. See HSLDA's information here.

Website Help for Support Group Leaders
Because
we live in the information age, every support group needs a website to
effectively communicate with its members. We know that's easier said
than done! Unless you have a person in your group who is qualified to
develop a site for you and has the time to maintain it, you may be
limited to phone calls or message boards when you need to get
information out.
Thankfully, it doesn't have to be that way any longer! Due to an entrepreneurial homeschool dad, www.homeschool-life.com
can offer your group a secure and affordable group website. To view a
sample website and learn more about the reasonable pricing structure,
go to www.homeschool-life.com. HEAV benefits from referrals, so please indicate you heard about Homeschool-Life from HEAV on this page.

of our Fathers...may it be ever understood that our Liberty is under
God and...to the extent that America honors Thee, wilt Thou bless

session of the 80th Congress, July 3, 1947. The Scottish-born preacher
became U.S. senate chaplain and became known to the American public
through his biography, A Man Called Peter,
and the movie based on it. His son, also Peter Marshall, continues the
family preaching tradition and has written a popular set of books about
America's Christian history. You may sign up for a free weekly
