4) Parting Thought - Things I've Learned
from My
Boys
Note: The following is purported to have come
from an
anonymous mother in Texas, but we take such
Internet sources with a grain of salt.
A king-sized waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2,000 square-foot house four inches deep.
A three-year-old-boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.
No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool, you still can't walk on water.
Pool filters do not like Jell-O.
VCR's do not eject "PB&J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.
Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.
The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.
"I regard no man as poor who has a godly
mother."
- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), sixteenth
President of
the United States.
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all
pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and
increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened
with all might, according to his glorious
power, unto all
patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
- Colossians 1:10-11 (KJV)
