church and family? This conference answers
these questions. www.ncficnc.com or

Homeschool Appreciation Day Report - View the
Photos!
During Homeschool Appreciation Day at the
Virginia Air & Space Center (October 23), a
special event co-sponsored by HEAV,
homeschoolers participated in dozens of hands-on
air-and-space exhibits. Students could pilot
a space
shuttle, become an air-traffic controller,
fly an airplane,
handle controls from dozens of historic
aircraft, and
climb aboard a WWII bomber--some of the bravest
even maneuvered and handled the controls of a
fighter jet! Exhibits included a premiere
interactive
aviation gallery spanning 100 years of
flight, space-flight artifacts and rockets,
the Apollo 12
Command
Module that went to the moon, and a meteorite
from
Mars!

sponsored by Philosophy and
Literature, a journal published by Johns
Hopkins University Press. It begins:
Indeed dialectical critical realism may be seen under the aspect of Foucauldian strategic reversal---of the unholy trinity of Parmenidean/Platonic/Aristotelean provenance; of the Cartesian-Lockean-Humean-Kantian paradigm, of foundationalisms (in practice, fideistic foundationalisms) and irrationalisms (in practice, capricious exercises of will-to-power or some other ideologically and/or psychosomatically buried source) new and old alike; of the primordial failing of western philosophy, ontological monovalence, and its close ally, the epistemic fallacy within its ontic dual; of the analytic....
