Homeschool Day at the Virginia State Fair is coming up on Monday, September 29, 2008. Thanks to HEAV's partnership with the State Fair, you and your family can visit the State Fair at a discounted price!

Even though the deadline for ordering tickets has passed, it's not too late to get your tickets! We'll keep selling tickets until they're all gone. If you would like the tickets shipped to you, please make sure we receive your order before Monday, September 22 to allow time for shipping. If you order after September 22, you will have to pick up the tickets at the Richmond office.

What: HEAV has partnered with the State Fair of Virginia to bring you special discounted admission tickets to the Homeschool Day at the Fair on Monday, September 29, 2008.

Ticket Policy for 2008
NO tickets include rides; all tickets are walk-around tickets. Midway ride wristbands are available separately.

Student Tickets (preschool-grade 12): $6 each (includes nominal HEAV administrative fee)

Children 2 and under are admitted free.

PLEASE NOTE: You may receive one (1) complimentary chaperone ticket for every eight (8) student tickets ordered on ONE order form (check with your support group for group order information).

Additional Tickets (all other ages): $11 (walk-around tickets; ride wristbands sold separately)

Wristbands: $8 in advance (includes nominal HEAV administration fee) or $9 at the fair

Midway ride wristbands allow for unlimited rides on that specific day. Wristbands may be purchased in advance at outlets, online at www.statefairva.org, or ordered through HEAV along with your tickets. Your homeschool admission ticket MUST be presented at the ride ticket booth in order to purchase this special ride wristband at the fairgrounds.

NEW HOURS THIS YEAR
Hours: The special homeschool tickets are good on Monday, September 29, 2008, for admission between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. only (although you may stay on the grounds until closing). If you exit the grounds during that time to get lunches, etc., you must have your hand stamped, and must return for re-admittance between those hours in order to re-enter.

Parking: Enter Gate 6 off Carolina Avenue, then enter the grounds at Gate A and park in General Parking (no charge).

Tickets are non-refundable.
Homeschool tickets cannot be used on any other date, regardless of weather. Admission includes all exhibits, but does not include midway rides. Check the State Fair website at www.statefair.com/2008 for a preview!

HOW TO ORDER YOUR HOMESCHOOL TICKETS
1. Fill out order form or include all pertinent information on a sheet of paper. PLEASE PRINT LEGIBLY.

2. Total the tickets ordered. Note: You may request (1) free chaperone ticket per eight (8) students. Include $11 per additional ticket not included free.

3. Total the amount due.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to cover our administration and postage expenses, HEAV charges a nominal fee per student ticket/wristband. There is not a separate postage fee. HEAV also charges a $2.70 fee per total order for sending your tickets via trackable mail. This is for your protection and for record keeping. The amount is the same whether you order two tickets or 200, so you may want to consider combining orders with a friend or with your support group. Although every precaution will be taken to safeguard your order, we cannot be responsible for tickets lost in the mail. You may arrange to pick up your tickets in person at the HEAV office before the fair; if you make such arrangements, you may omit the $2.70 fee and mark on your form that you will pick up the tickets. Tickets unclaimed at the HEAV office will not be refunded.

4. Send completed order form to HEAV State Fair Coordinator, P.O. Box 6745, Richmond, VA 23230.

5. Orders received through September 1 will be processed September 4-8 and then mailed. Additional ticket quantities will be limited; orders received after September 1 may be picked up at the HEAV office, or will be mailed if time allows.
