The Sheraton Oceanfront was the location—and golden days at the seashore were the backdrop—for this unforgettable weekend of spiritual and emotional nourishment and refreshment combined with practical helps, inspirational worship, and so much more.
Geared toward the homeschooling mom but open to all, Sally’s wisdom and encouraging words brought a renewed sense of hope and purpose during a weekend filled with life-giving biblical discipleship, inspirational anecdotes and illustrations, and wise spiritual insights borne out of her own experience in life and ministry.

Sally Clarkson, the mother of four children and wife to Clay, has—over the course of 20 years in public ministry—earned a reputation as a champion of Christian motherhood. Veteran homeschoolers will recognize Sally as co-author of the classic book, Educating the Wholehearted Child, which she wrote in 1994 with her husband, Clay. Since that time, Sally has written numerous books centering on themes of motherhood, God’s grace and love, beauty, joy, and intentional living. During her time with us at the beach, Sally will draw heavily on two of her most recent books, Own Your Life: Living with Deep Intention, Bold Faith, and Generous Love, and, The Lifegiving Home: Creating a Place of Belonging and Becoming.
Before marrying Clay in 1981, she earned a degree in speech/English, ministered to students and executives, and was a missionary in communist Poland. After Clay completed seminary, they went on to serve as missionaries in Austria and as staff with several churches before starting Whole Heart Ministries in 1994. Sally and Clay home educated all of their children through high school.
She has encouraged mothers since 1998 through annual Mom Heart Conferences and through speaking nationally and internationally. She also blogs regularly for Christian women on her personal website, SallyClarkson.com, and personally trains and disciples mothers online and in her home through her Mom Heart Intensives.
The optional tea will be held Friday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
