2018 HEAV Homeschool Leadership Conference with John Maxwell-Certified CoachRoyce White REGISTRATION OPENS ON MONDAY, JANUARY 15!

Woodlands Conference Center
Williamsburg, Virginia
March 9–10, 2018

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” ~ John C. Maxwell

As a homeschool leader, how do you best face the challenges that confront you, from team building to leading?

Whether you are new to leadership, or someone who has been in leadership for a while, you are invited to enjoy an amazing weekend of connection, inspiration, and refreshment–and leave equipped with new leadership skills. Learn to balance your life around your leadership, not your leadership around your life.

This year’s LeaderLife! conference is unlike any other! Royce White, the founder and CEO of the Advanced Leadership Academy–and a certified professional coach with the John Maxwell Team–will lead the weekend, beginning with a DISC Model of Human Behavior Personality Profile Assessment.

Through his business, speaking engagements, and training, Royce has helped hundreds of students and executives develop the skills they need to gain understanding, leadership, influence, and ultimately—succeed at life. An author, international speaker, and the father of five homeschooled children, Royce’s passion is to help others find their passion.

What to Expect at LeaderLife!

DYNAMIC WORKSHOP TOPICS

You do not want to miss this opening session! John Maxwell Team international speaker Royce White will show you how to understand and learn to speak the personality language of your team members, your teachers, your volunteers, your spouse, your kids, your students—and yourself—so you can communicate and connect on a much, much deeper level to make your relationships better and everything in life have less stress and more productivity. We are all different and unique—different members of the same body!  Do you ever wonder why you do and say some of the the things you do? Or why others do the things they do? Are there times you look at your kids or at someone and think, “I just don’t get you?” If we don’t understand people, we will misunderstand them. Your personality affects 99% of everything in your life. Come see how God wired you and others–and experience a paradigm shift in the way you understand yourself and others to become the best leader you can be. Do whatever you need to do to get to this session on time. It’s life changing.

At the end of this session, you will be equipped to understand people at a much deeper level than you already do, stop miscommunication, and truly connect with anyone.

Whatever type of volunteers you have or need—finding, managing, and keeping them is an arduous task. Plus, with the cultural and generational changes over the past 10 years, working with volunteers requires a new understanding to accomplish your co-op’s needs and build your team. The top proven volunteer recruiting methodologies and procedures are defined and detailed. Plus, over 50 management and leadership strategies are explained to help you be the best volunteer manager to help your volunteers succeed and stay with your organization.

At the end of this session, you will have the ability to recruit, manage, lead, and keep  the right volunteers.

How to balance life, family commitments, and leadership responsibilities to be most effective and to keep from burning out.

You care. It’s why you’re a leader. You want the best for your families and for others. But we can get in a rut, misalign our priorities, and suffer significant burn-out, headache, and heartache. How do we recognize these issues when we are too close to them? How do we build a system to keep us (and others!) from being out of balance? What best leadership and life practices can get us back on track and keep us on target? How to get positive accountability to ensure you stay balanced.

What is a DISC Assessment?

Friday’s session begins with an adapted DISC Model of Human Behavior Personality Profile Assessment given by a certified behavior specialist. Based on DISC theory, which centers on four different behavioral traits: dominance, inducement, submission, and compliance, this is the leading personal assessment tool. Why? Because when you understand yourself and the people around you, you communicate better and work more productively (and who couldn’t use that?)

Leadership Training Series

Start now–and get a taste of what is to come at LeaderLife! Royce’s blog series on leadership training–for you AND your children–immediately lays the groundwork for the best leadership principles and practices so you, as a homeschooling parent, can learn both how to lead yourself and your family, and also to inculcate these principles into your children to give them tools for success. What others say about Royce

… thank you for taking time to teach us about the DISC Model of Human Behavior. I’ve become so interested in what we covered about the different personality tendencies, that I’ve been attempting to guess the personalities of those around me. Building systems is the greatest advice I have ever received. ~ JANESSA DAVIS

Royce has really helped give me a clear sense of the habits that I need to work on improving in order to get where I want to go. He has helped me become more intentional about growing, rather than having a haphazard approach to everything, which is my normal tendency…~ KENNY KOHLHAAS, Full-Time Musician

The class has sparked a new energy for me, has taught me to never be stagnant, to step out of my comfort zone in order to experience greatness, to expand and keep growing despite life’s challenges that are always looming. Thank you for helping guide and stretch us with your loving leadership, kindness, and wisdom.” ~KATHY HOFFER Xerox Corporation

Positive Accountability
A recent Zogby poll shows that a majority of those surveyed feel that accountability is something negative that happens to them – usually when things go wrong, rather than something they utilize to ensure success. But accountability from a positive perspective–Positive Accountability–redefines success, and shows you, not just how to get by, but rather how to stay on target, be inspired, and accomplish anything you want to get done!
