Mount Vernon invites homeschoolers to experience 18th-century plantation life during this special one-day event! At the George Washington: Pioneer Farmer site, watch costumed interpreters produce 18th-century goods, learn about George Washington’s innovative farming practices, visit a reconstructed slave cabin, play colonial games, and see animals. Elsewhere on the estate, tour Washington’s mansion, visit the state-of-the-art Museum and Education Center, and meet people from Washington’s world.
