Thank you for supporting HEAV with Box Tops! The next deadline for submission is September 30, 2009.
As a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, HEAV is qualified to participate in the Box Tops for Education program. HEAV invites homeschool support groups to participate with us. Together, we can make a BIG difference! With your help, the Box Top program earns thousands of dollars each year to help homeschooling in Virginia--all from empty boxes and cans!
General Mills BOX TOPS for EDUCATION Program - Deadlines February 15 and September 30 of each year. (The program runs year round, with submissions made twice a year.)

Your local grocery store may offer bonus Box Tops coupons that you can add to your collection. Have willing friends and relatives save Box Tops coupons for your support group, as well.
Take all of the Box Tops coupons that have been collected by the support group, count them, and bundle them into groups of 50 where possible. Use rubber bands or small zip bags to keep the Box Tops bundled in groups of 50.
Once you have counted and bundled all of your group’s Box Tops, print out the HEAV Box Tops Submission Form.
Please
be sure that you only send neatly trimmed Box Tops coupons that have
not already expired. Please do not cut the expiration date off of the
Box Tops.
HEAV is not responsible for items lost in the mail. You may wish to send the Box Tops via Certified Mail.
Any Box Tops submissions not received at the HEAV office by the deadline will be included in the next mailing.
Multiply 5¢ by the number of Box Tops your group has collected. HEAV will send a check for that amount to the support group to use however the group sees fit. You could buy equipment or supplies for the group to use, or you may want to sponsor a party or field trip for the group. Oh, the possibilities!
Each Box Top is valued at 10¢, so the other 5¢ from each Box Top goes to support HEAV.
Checks for February submissions will be mailed in June. Checks for September submissions will be mailed from HEAV in January.
One of the easiest ways you can support HEAV is to join the Box Tops for Education Booster Club at boxtops4education.com.
Signing up takes only a few minutes, and membership is so rewarding.

Enjoy these great Box Tops Booster Club benefits:
Booster Club members can earn cash for their support group AND HEAV through everyday activities like buying groceries and shopping online--at no additional cost.
1. Clip - Clip Box Tops from hundreds of participating General Mills products. Box Tops are worth 10¢ each when our school redeems them from General Mills.
2. Shop - Shop your favorite online stores at the Box Tops Marketplace. Up to 8% of each qualifying purchase is donated to our school.
Remember to tell your friends and family near and far to sign up, too, and help us reach our goal. Ask your local businesses to put out Box Tops for Education collection boxes (and offer to empty those for them regularly!). Note: To sign up, please enter our name as Home Educators Association of VA (zip code is 23230).
DEADLINE: Box Tops should be received at the HEAV office by February 15 or September 30 for processing. A submission slip should accompany each packet. For more information, contact the HEAV office at 804-278-9200.
Can my support group participate directly in the Box Tops for Education program, without going through HEAV? If your support group is legally recognized as a 501(C)(3) organization, your group can choose to enroll in the Box Tops for Education program. See the Box Tops for Education Web site for more information.
I am not involved with a homeschool support group, how can I participate?
If you have fewer than 100 Box Tops, you may send them to HEAV as a donation of the full value or donate them to a local homeschool support group that is participating. If you have 100 or more valid Box Tops, you may send them to HEAV with the HEAV Box Tops Submission Form and receive a check for half of the value.
What about bonus Box Tops coupons from my local grocery store?
You may send them to HEAV along with your regular Box Tops coupons.
What about expired Box Tops coupons?
HEAV cannot accept expired Box Tops coupons. The value of any expired Box Tops coupons that are sent to HEAV will be subtracted from the total before the checks are drafted.
Does HEAV accept Campbell's® soup labels?
HEAV is not collecting Campbell's® soup labels. Please do not send your Campbell's® soup labels to the HEAV office. To find out how to participate in the Campbell's® soup label program, go to www.labelsforeducation.com.
