"Pirates of the Cranium"
Our Children's
Program is a two-day event designed to provide more than simply
childcare for children ages 4 through 12. In "Pirates of the Cranium," an
exciting new theme for 2009, children will discover the importance of taking
every thought
captive to the obedience of our Captain Jesus Christ and will learn how God's
Word helps us have victory over "pirate thoughts!" Young Sailors will also
enjoy Slippy the Seal, dramatized adventures on the high seas, brand-new songs,
scripture memory, a challenging obstacle course, nautical crafts, games, and
many other surprises! Children's Conferences International presents this
fun-filled children's program.
The program--for children whose parents are attending the convention--runs concurrently with convention workshops, and children eat lunch with their parents. Pre-registration costs are $20 per child/per day; $22 per child/per day at the door.

How old does my child have to be to attend the Children's Program?
What is the registration fee for my child to attend the Children's Program?
What are the hours of the Children's Program?
Q: What do I do with my children
during convention?
A: The answer to this question depends on the age(s) of your child(ren).
Children 10 through 12 years of age may be registered as "tweens" and
attend workshops as long as they are accompanied by their parents, or they
may be enrolled in the Children's Program, at parental discretion.
Infants
Nursing infants are welcome in workshops. In consideration of others, and so as
not to render the recording of the session unusable, please sit near an exit so
you may slip out quietly if your baby becomes noisy. (This includes happy
sounds as well as those of distress.)
Toddlers (through age 3)
We LOVE children, but only nursing babies and children (10+) who are paid
registrants for the convention may attend workshops; please make other
arrangements for toddlers and preschoolers. Children of all ages are welcome in
the Exhibit Hall and UCS.
Children (ages 4-12)
Children ages 4 through 12 may attend the Children's Program. The Children's
Program runs concurrently with the workshop sessions; parents will need to pick
up their children for lunch.
"Tweens" (ages 10-12)
"Tweens" are invited to attend the convention workshops and Exhibit
Hall. Registration is $20 (a maximum fee of $40 for all "tweens"
within a family).
Teens (13-19) & Young Adults
(single, adult dependants living at home)
Young adults and teens are invited to attend the convention workshops and
Exhibit Hall. Registration is $20 (a maximum fee of $40 for all young adults
and teens within a family).
Q: How old does my child have to
be to attend the Children's Program?
A: The Children's Program is open for children ages 4 through 12. Children who
will be at least four by June 11, 2009, may be registered for the Children's
Program (no age exceptions, please). Ten- to twelve-year-olds may participate
in the Children's Program or may be registered as "tweens."
Q: What is the registration fee
for my child to attend the Children's Program?
A: That depends on when you register. You may pre-register and pay for the
Children's Program on the registration form (before May 22) at $20 per child
per day, or you may register your child(ren) on-site and pay $2 more per child
($22 per child per day). The only way to guarantee a spot in the Children's
Program is to pre-register.
Q: What are the hours of the Children's Program?
A: The Children's Program is coordinated with the convention workshops to allow
parents time to drop off/pick up their children and still attend the workshops
of their choice. Only the parent who dropped the child off or a person that
parent specifically authorized when dropping the child off may remove a child
from the care of the Children's Program staff. Parents must pick up their
children during the lunch break and when the Children's Program closes; parents
may also pick up or drop off their own children anytime the program is open, if
necessary.
