Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This open house is free. If you register for classes, fees apply. Parents and students from grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to attend. No childcare for younger siblings will be provided.

Get all the details about classes and how to register. Meet our teachers, see the books your child would use in their classes and pick up class prospectuses. Meet other parents and students who are part of the Centreville Homeschool Enrichment Support Services) CHESS family.

1.2 “Ahoy and Avast:” Plays about Pirates – Annandale – May 3

Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost: $5/ticket (in advance); $7/ticket (at the door). The productions are family-friendly, rated G, and recommended for ages five and up.

Cornerstone Youth Theatre Project’s 2014 Play Festival has put together high quality productions by and for homeschoolers of Northern Virginia. This festival features The Pirates of Penzance, Jr. by Gilbert and Sullivan and The Pirate Show by Mark Landon Smith.

1.3 Northern Virginia Kings Football Speed and Agility Camp – Manassas – Register by June 8

Monday, June 9, through Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost: $150/player (boys, ages 13 through 18); $125/sibling. Price includes all camp fees and a T-shirt. Register by Sunday, June 8, at 11 a.m. Register early to enter a drawing to win an all-access day pass at the Washington Redskins training camp in Richmond with Coach Phil.

The Northern Virginia Kings Football Team is hosting a LINK Performance Systems Speed and Agility Camp for athletes who would like to improve their sports performance. All prospective players are welcome! The camp will focus on the three primary stages of speed and agility development that affect performance in competition: acceleration, change of direction/lateral movement, and top-end speed.

The Camp Director is Coach Phil DuBois, the Kings’ Strength and Conditioning Coach and a former Washington Redskins player certified in mental game training, strength and conditioning, and functional movement systems. He has coached at the high school and youth football levels and is the co-founder of LINK Performance Systems.

Learn the Biblically based principles pertaining to business, home education, and family relationships.
