2.1 Teen Studio: Pinhole Camera and Photography – Multiple Locations and Dates

Saturday, April 19, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There are multiple dates and locations; please check the website for more information. There is no cost, but students should bring a brown bag lunch. Participants must be ages 12 through 16. Registration is required and begins Saturday, April 5, 2014. Check the website for space availability.

Build a working camera out of a cardboard box, then shoot and develop your own photos!

2.2 It’s a Snake! – Multiple Locations – Multiple Dates

Find out how to tell the difference between venomous and non-venomous species, learn about snake behavior, get tips on snakes as pets, and interact with reptiles of Rockwood Nature Center. Celebrate Children’s Book Week, May 12 through 18, by checking out a book about snakes or attending one of the library programs!

Registration is required and begins April 19; places may fill quickly. Check the website for space availability.

Make jewelry that lights up! Combine conductive thread and circuits and make a cool battery-powered, LED, e-textile cuff. It’s only powered while you are wearing it, because the fastener acts as a switch. No soldering or wiring required!
