1.2 Susan Wise Bauer: Homeschooling the Next Generation – Richmond – February 6

Grove Avenue Baptist Church
8701 Ridge Road
Richmond, VA

Invite your family and friends–everyone is welcome!! This is a special opportunity to hear Susan Wise Bauer, writer, historian, and author of The Well-Trained Mind, speak on “Wisdom from a Homeschooling Mom: Homeschooling the Next Generation.”

Susan Wise Bauer was educated at home for almost all of her elementary and secondary school years, went on to college and graduate school, and now teaches at the university level and homeschools her own four children. As she looks back over her own twelve years of home education, she picks out those elements which were most valuable to her in her adult life, which techniques and programs she has chosen to reproduce with her own children–and which aspects of her own education were mistakes!

In a special offer from Dr. Ed Hindson, your student will receive six credits for only $29. This course is designed for adults and students.

Walk through the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation with one of America’s leading Bible Scholars, Dr. Ed Hindson. The course will cover an introduction to the authorship and contents of the Old Testament books. Special attention will be given to important persons, places, and events, as well as to key chapters in the Old Testament revelation.

Students of God’s Word must consider the value of the Old Testament for their lives. Not only is the Old Testament the history of the Jewish people, but it presents God’s earliest teachings of sin, repentance, and justification. This course identifies the important points that form the basis of a more complete, historical, and contextual understanding of God’s revelation to man.
