Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free family event is open to all. Bring your very best LEGO ship (kits, from scratch–anything!) to share or build one at the event with materials provided. After 2 p.m., the museum staff will choose five winners from designated age groups.
During the day, hear and see staff discuss LEGO shipbuilding and pick up their new designs for the coming year. New ships this year include the USS Onondaga; USS Maine, and CSS Nansemond. By the way, do your students know why we remember the USS Maine?
