1.1 Generation of Joshua Club: InNOVAtors of Freedom – Fairfax – September 5

Thursday, September 5, 2013, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Meetings continue on first Thursdays, monthly. Cost: $40/student annual dues (ages 11 through 19); local club dues are to be determined. National Generation Joshua membership is also required; please see the website for national fees. Open to youth ages 11 to 19; family memberships cover parents, too.

Northern Virginia junior and senior high school students are invited to visit InNOVAtors of Freedom, a Generation Joshua (GenJ) club in your area. The club is beginning a new year of GenJ activities to prepare today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders.

1.2 TeenPact Leadership Schools – Richmond – February 3-7 or February 10-14, 2014

Session I begins Monday, February 3, 2014, at 1 p.m. and runs until Wednesday or Thursday, depending on options chosen. Session II begins February 10 and similarly runs until February 14. Please see the cost options at the website. There are three- and four-day sessions (for students ages 13 through 19). There is a one-day session for children (ages 8 through 12). The cost includes textbooks and supplies; cost does not include meals or lodging (see the website for options). There is also a separate one-day Political Communication Workshop after the longer sessions.

TeenPact is a hands-on experience for students in their state government. Students participate in mock legislature, elections, committee times, prayer walks, and more. Students are given opportunities to practice leadership and be encouraged through interactive teaching, worship sessions, field experiences, and more!
