1.1 Titus 2 Moms Kick-off Tea – Richmond – Register by July 17

James River Home School Foundation
7401 Elkhardt Road
Richmond, VA

Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is no cost. No childcare is available for the tea, although childcare is normally provided during the regular monthly meetings. Space is limited; sign-ups are on the website. Register by 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.

The guest speaker, Shelley Hendry, will speak on the vital importance of establishing loving communication between mothers and children. This meeting is for current Titus 2 Moms, as well as those interested in information or joining the monthly support groups which will begin in the fall. Titus 2 is looking at possibilities for branching out into other areas, especially Chester or Amelia.

Titus 2 Moms Support Group is designed to meet the mandate of Titus 2:3-5 by being a place where more experienced moms can support, encourage, and help the less experienced moms (and new homeschool moms) through prayer and by sharing God’s Word and their own experiences. The group seeks to provide a place where all can share openly and honestly, without fear of being judged or criticized. Titus 2 Moms is sponsored by the James River Home School Foundation.

1.4 Dual Enrollment Online at Bluefield College

Bluefield College, a regionally accredited, private Christian college, offers an extensive dual-enrollment program for high school students (formerly called the Challenge Program). Online classes are available to students as early as the tenth grade, making it possible for a diligent student to earn an associate’s degree during high school. At the same time, it is also possible for a student to simply take a class or two to see what college courses are all about. The best news of all, classes cost only $130 each.

A dual-enrolled student must be at least a sophomore in high school, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and have the written permission from the homeschool parent.

Apply online at www.bluefield.edu/applynow (Non-Degree Seeking Application). See the website for more information.
