The Open House is for families who are interested in the CHESS co-op for the first time as well as for currently participating families. Visitors can see samples of class work and sit in on the classes throughout the day. It’s a great way to determine if a class is a good fit for your student. It is also recommended families carefully read the teacher’s prospectus for the class. Experience what CHESS is like first-hand!
See the website for more information or to register for the open house; ask questions of contact Tara Taylor at 703-753-1901 or email@example.com. Please do not e-mail to register unless you are unable to register at the website.
You may have noticed a number of contests featured lately in the Update. Did you ever want to encourage a child to enter such a contest, but didn’t known how to fit it into your studies? Did the details of entering the contest overwhelm your child? Here’s a great article from The Teaching Home magazine archives that addresses these questions and others. Scroll down to see several portions of material on this theme. They also list a huge number of contests, many of which are annual events. You can also use internet searches to get current information on contests.
