1.1 Team Policy Debate – Culpeper – March 15

Open Door Baptist Church
754 Germanna Highway
Culpeper, VA

Friday, March 15, 2013, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Open to anyone who would like to see what live policy debate looks like. Because it is a live, formal competition, any children unable to remain quiet during the debate should be taken out of the sanctuary until the debate is over or until they can return quietly. Kindly do not bring children under age four.

Encourage teens as they put on a Team Policy Debate competition with Classical Conversations (CC). All are welcome to come and watch to see what a live policy debate looks like. This is what CC’s rhetoric skills might look like for students ages 13 through 17. A panel of judges will award one team as the winner at the conclusion of the event.

1.3 Article – Family Fun with Teens–Graduation Included

Sometimes it can be easier to find activities to do with younger children than ones to do with teens. This HSLDA article does a thorough job exploring possibilities for parent-teen, whole family, and even just moms (who need a little break by now). Remember to make special memories with your teen as graduation approaches and as many teens will be leaving the family home.
