HEAV is giving away a free convention registration! It includes all shopping (UCS & Exhibit Hall), workshops, keynote addresses by Mike Farris and Jeff Myers, and tickets to one of the Duggars’ keynotes on Friday!
In addition to the Duggars, there are lots of great speakers–including Heidi St. John, Dianne Craft, Joel Salatin, Steve and Annette Economides, Andrew Pudewa, Steven Demme, Diana Waring, George Escobar, Zan and Joe Tyler, plus many, many others! PLUS, an expanded Exhibit Hall, a money-saving Used Curriculum Sale, tons of information-packed workshops, graduation, teen programs, hands-on demos, Young Entrepreneurs Display, and SO much more.

This is my first convention along with my first year as a homeschool parent, I would love to win this!!!! This year i had to search everything on my own and did not know all of the loving homeschool organizations and people out there. Wow, what a blessing it would be to take my family. I have talked it up to my dh that going to this convention would help us only to grow stronger in our conviction to homeschool. I can’t wait to share it with him! Last year was my first convention, going with a friend for the day. We only attended the curriculum fair. I am really looking forward to attending the workshops! As a Marine Corps family that moves every two years, attends convention every year, and has enjoyed conventions in 4 states and 2 countries, last year’s HEAV, really drew my Marine in to serving within the Homeschool community. This is an incrediblely inspiring, refreshing and fruitful convention, that we are excited to budget to attend again, even with Grandma! Not only do we love convention (last year was our first as Parents of Preschoolers), but we tell everyone about how great it is. We also LOVE the Duggars. I’ve read their books, we tape their show and my kids want to meet them so badly. They are great role models and make great points–so much so that I am 8 months pregnant with my third child. We plan to open our homes and hearts to as many children as the Lord wills. We love HEAV and we love the Duggars!!!

The HEAV Convention is always an encouragement to me, and it’s also a very productive time! My past accomplishments at HEAV include: researching curriculum, hearing speakers who help me learn new stuff for new stages of life, finding little luxuries like handcrafted soap, feeling appreciated at the Leadership Luncheon, buying curriculum at great prices…used or new, and even seeing friends that I only see at the convention! I have attended the convention every year since I started homeschooling in 2007. I tell all my friends how wonderful it is especially the Keynotes! My first year I was moved to tears to be in the company of thousands of like-minded Christian parents! Since my daughter is a Senior this year I cannot afford to attend. What a blessing it would be to take her this summer to hear Mr. Farris speak and to be encouraged by the Duggars! It is my intention to remain a member and attend in the future with my daughter when she begins her homeschooling journey. I want to thank everyone at HEAV for your tireless efforts to preserve and protect the vision of homeschooling for Virginia families!
