Guess the Speaker
Posted on Oct 25 2012 in Convention by admin

Every year, rumors and guesses abound: Who are the speakers at the Annual Virginia Homeschool Convention in June?
We’re so excited about the planned lineup!! Next year–2013–is our anniversary year, and we can’t wait, so we decided to have a little fun and a little giveaway, too! Over the next three weeks, beginning Monday, October 29, we’ll post clues about one speaker each week. Guess the right speaker for that clue, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a free family registration to the HEAV 2013 Virginia Homeschool Convention!
So who ARE the speakers this year? You tell us! Someone new, a returning favorite, a Virginia resident, or a traveler from across the country--it’s anybody’s guess!
Once you think you know who it is, just submit your guess by commenting on the post! The speaker will be announced in our weekly e-newsletter and on our Facebook page. All those who guessed correctly will be entered into a drawing to win a family convention ticket!
So, get your sleuthing skills ready, and check back here on Monday (October 29) for your first clue.

My guess and hope is Sally Clarkson. She is such an inspiration and it would be a treat to have her come to Richmond. Thank you for creating a fun contest. Peace.

I agree, I think Sally Clarkson will be at the convention this next year and I would love to attend any workshops she is teaching!

I would suggest Kevin Swanson as a keynote and workshop speaker. I am surprised that he has not spoken at HEAV…at least since 2007 when we started attending.
I would also suggest:
1. Scott Brown with NCFIC
2. J. Mark Fox
3. R.C. Sproul Jr.
4. Paul Washer (his ministry is now based in Radford, Va.)

My guess would be Tim Hawkins – HEAV needs a good laugh. They used to have the Funny Moms but they disappeared.
